After the beach of Alyko lies the beach of Pyrgaki.
The area combines the beauty of the beach with the natural beauty
of inland. It is located approximately 20km away from the capital.
One has to reach Alyko and turn left (there are signs).
Access to the beach is via earth road of good condition
for about 1km after Alyko. What impresses visitors is the sandhills
and the cedar trees found in abundance. In the area one can find
few taverns and quite a few recently built hotels/rooms most of
which have a lovely view of the beach. In general Pyrgaki beach
is hardly ever crowded.
