Having a problem selecting the right beach in Naxos island?
It is only natural, since the island has so many beaches that it can please even the most demanding visitor. Read this carefully and you'll be able to choose the ones that you prefer without wasting a single day from your vacation wondering around.

SPORTS
Are you the type of person that grabs a surf-board the moment you reach the beach? Are you always seeking for action? You have many choices. Try the beaches of Agios Georgios, Agios Prokopis, Plaka and of cource Mikri Vigla. You will find surfing equipment and moral support, since you won't be the only one playing with the wind. If you have your own equipment, nothing can stop you from trying all the southwest beaches of the island.

MUSIC & EXCITEMENT - ORGANISED BEACHES
We are talking about the beach of Agios Georgios mainly. The bars and cafes reach the sandy beach which is full of young people playnig with rackets and having the time of their lives. You do have another selection though. At the beach of Agios Prokopis there are also many cafe-bars just 20m away from the beach, with a wonderful view and nice music. Many of them also serve food and snacks.

CALM & ISOLATED BEACHES
You are the lucky one! The island's beaches are so endless that you can always find a place to be alone, or at least not bothered by the noise other people are making. Even during high season, you can still find many places that will suit you. Not many islands can offer that. Choose between the end of Plaka beach, Orkos, Mikri Vigla, Kastraki, Pyrgaki, Alyko and Ayiassos and of course the northern beaches of Ammitis, Abram, Lionas, ...
