NUDISTS BEACHES
Officially no beach is declared a nudists beach. Don't let that bother you at all. In most beaches it is the nudists that outnumber the rest. These beaches are Agios Prokopis (at its north end), Plaka, Orkos, Mikri Vigla, Kastraki and Alyko.

TAVERNS BY THE BEACH
In most beaches there are taverns by the sea and in many cases they have tables on the sand, under the trees shadow. What could be more romantic than this? There is no need to name the beaches because all you need to do is wonder around and you will find such a place to eat for sure.

CHILDREN'S BEACHES
Do you have young children who do not know how to swim yet? Try the beach of Agios Georgios, the water there is very shallow for a long distance and a child can easily play without danger. If, on the other hand, you prefer that your child is swimming far from noise and crowds, then choose the endless beach of Kastraki or Plaka or Mikri Vigla. They are never too crowded, so you'll be able to keep an eye easily. However, the water there is not shallow, but still it is not dangerous for children to swim there, as long as parents are careful enough to watch them.

The most important fact, however, in this case is that most beaches are far from the asphalt road, which is something you should seriously consider for your children's safety. It is only in Agia Anna that the asphalt road goes by the beach.

NAXOS TOWN BEACHES
You are staying in Naxos Town and maybe you are not in the mood to rent a car or motorbike and just want to get to the beach within five minutes of walking distance. There is of course the famous beach of Agios Georgios (Saint George) but that is not your only choise. At the northern side of Palatia (Apollo's Temple) you will find Grotta, the rocky beach best for experienced swimmers, since waves get wild sometimes.

Take advantage of everything the island has to offer. Don't miss a thing!
