Tripodes is one of the
most picturesque villages of Naxos island.
The view of the village from the hill of Saint Nektario`s
church, with the picturesque windmills on the opposite hill, the blue sea and the
neighboring island of Paros as a background, resembles a priceless painting.
The village is famous
due to its 40 small churches that decorate its beautiful countryside, the friendliness and
hospitality of its inhabitants, its historical background and its archaeological
